Sharon and Lorna reported that this was going well. A rock climbing event is being planned for the 15th April at Corby Craggs. Sports Club will finish for the summer on 27th May.
Ceilidh:
All agreed that this event was very enjoyable. Alison suggested that we book Robert Whitehead now for next year as he is very popular. Lorna will ask Violet to do this. Barbara spoke to the caller during the evening and he told her that he and his wife present medieval costume fashion shows, they charge between £250. - £300. for this. They also encourage audience participation. Team agreed to look into the support we would receive if we decided to run an event like this.
Village Clean up day.
About 20 villagers participated in this and in all about 40 bags of rubbish were collected plus some larger items. Concern was expressed about the amount of fly tipping in Bunny Lane, as John explained this is a public right of way so cannot be closed off to help prevent this. Dog fouling is also a big problem and appears to be worse now the Villages permissive rights of way have been closed. Alison explained that the dog warden has been informed of problem and is still patrolling Village.
Table Top Sale
Alison has bookings for most of the tables as well as usual stalls there will be one selling driftwood art and Jewellery.
Lorna explained that we haven’t heard from the Prison yet as to whether they can provide any plants. Due to present financial constraints it might not be possible. However we have explained to them that we will be happy to cover the costs of seeds and compost. It was agreed that we would ask around for any contributions to the stall as it is popular. Bill suggested contacting Kirkley Hall to see if they can help with anything if the Prison reply is not favourable.
The following are extracts from our last meeting with details of Table Top:
 Tombola need prizes
 Plants stall and book stall will be run by Steve and Garry. Weather permitting this will be outside. We need donations for this stall. Lorna will write to Acklington Prison and ask whether they can donate any plants as they have been very generous in the past. ( see above)
 Cake stall will need cakes etc for this. Barbara volunteered to run this. (Barbara may now be unavailable). She is now.
 Raffle prizes also required.
 Alison has asked Mrs Peden and Mrs Lamb whether they would organize refreshment stall. They were quite happy to do this. ( Alison will confirm this with them)
 Sharon thought the children from Sports club might like to run some games at the side of the Hall if the weather is good.

Parish Booklet
Barbara has revised the booklet and gave each team member a copy asking them to feed back their views and revisions at the next meeting. Thanks were extended to Barbara for her work on this.
Poppy Party Time
 John has spoken to the landowner where the Pill box is situated. He thought the event was a good idea and was prepared to grant us access for the day and cut the grass surrounding the site, move his cattle and provide tents if necessary. He was also agreeable to the team coming to look at the site prior to organizing the event. The coal road is locked but he will locate a key for us when we need it.
 Barbara has rung RAF Boulmer who said they were unable to help with this event. This is a disappointment due to the links with RAF Acklington. They did however say that they would request volunteers to help out on the day if required.
 Barbara has spoken to the T.A in Alnwick who said that they might be able to cover this event as a training weekend and if so it would be possible to provide Tents, a field Kitchen but no chemical toilets. However this would need to be agreed by the Captain. Barbara will contact them again and ask whether it would be possible to set up for just one day.
 Barbara is waiting for a reply from Amble Cadets about their Standard bearer coming to event.
 Barbara has been in contact with Barclays Bank and spoke to Lyndsey Williamson. She is going to complete her charity paperwork and it is 90% certain that we will receive match funding from Barclays.
 Bill suggested finding out whether we can locate a club that would be able to display armoured vehicles, land rovers etc on the day.
 Lorna suggested that if we couldn’t hold event at Pill box that we set up refreshments stalls and displays at the Village Hall but have a guided walk down to the Pill box with those who would be interested in seeing it.
 Dressing up in 40s outfits was also suggested to add some fun to the afternoon.
 Team to try and get hold of music that was played during the war.

It was agreed that when Barbara has information from the T.A we will organize another meeting purely to discuss this event.
